Rule Value Details
EA Usage Allowed (with restrictions) EAs require pre-approval (contact support after creating a free trial account). Web-based and software trade copiers are permitted upon approval. Using the same EA with identical trades across multiple accounts is prohibited ("No Group Trading").
Overnight and Weekend Holding Allowed Trading is only available during standard Forex market hours. Positions can be held over the weekend. Be aware of potential market gaps and swap fees (usually tripled over the weekend) when holding positions overnight. Use careful risk management.
Copy Trading Not Allowed Traders are not allowed to copy trades and use the same strategy between accounts.
Trading Strategies Some Allowed, Some Restricted No maximum risk limits. News trading is allowed. No restrictions on lot size. Prohibited strategies include exploiting unrealistic prices (arbitrage, latency trading, front-running, exploiting mispricing), HFT, and tick scalping. Reverse trading or group hedging are prohibited.
Inactivity Not Allowed (30-day rule) Accounts must have at least one trade placed within a 30-day period to remain active. Inactivity for 30 consecutive days results in account breach and deletion. Parked accounts can utilize 1 x 0.01 trade every 30 days to remain active.
News Trading Restricted Cannot initiate (open or close) trades within five minutes before and after a high-impact news release. Holding existing positions opened 5+ minutes before is allowed. Limit orders placed 5+ minutes before with predefined SL/TP are allowed. Modifying SL/TP or manipulating limit orders during the restricted period is prohibited. Violations result in an account breach.
IP Address/VPN/VPS Restricted Connections from Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Russia (MT5), Pakistan, and the United States (MT5 and cTrader) are restricted. Platform-specific restrictions apply. Any connections from a restricted country to a non-allowed platform will result in an instant breach of the account(s).
Prohibited Trading Practices/Gambling Policy Not Allowed Exploiting unrealistic prices (arbitrage, latency trading, front-running, exploiting mispricing), HFT, tick scalping, and reverse trading or group hedging are prohibited. Account management services are not allowed. Violations lead to a permanent ban, forfeiture of accounts, and loss of simulated profits.
Trading Period Unlimited No time limit for completing objectives within the current evaluation cycle. No deadline or expiration date to meet the targets.
Minimum Trading Days Varies by Program QT Classic: One Step (5 days), Two Step (4 days), Three Step (4 days). QT Advanced: Two Step (4 days), Three Step (4 days). QT Power: Two Step (4 days).
Misc. Rules Various Using passing services, account management, and account sharing is strictly prohibited. Violators lose eligibility for refunds/withdrawals and face an account ban. Traders are responsible for maintaining the security of their account credentials.
