Hassett: Trump will listen to trading partners if they offer reall great deals

The White House continues to say they won't negotiate but people are calling.

• The idea that there will be a nuclear winter is completely irresponsible rhetoric
• It's time to ease off the rhetoric a bit
• There are some great deals countries are bringing on tariffs

Can we put the genie back in the bottle?

I like what he is saying here around dealmaking but if we take tariffs down to 10% across the board, I don't know if that leads to a lasting improvement in risk assets.
