Trustworthiness & Regulation

TopFX is regulated by CYSEC in Cyprus and the FSA in Seychelles, offering a degree of security to its European clients through segregated client money and investor compensation schemes. However, it does not offer these protections for global clients, especially those under the FSA.

The broker has been in business since 2010, which positions it as a well-established player in the industry. Despite this, it's important to remember that even highly regulated brokers can face financial challenges.

Deposit Insurance

TopFX provides deposit insurance through the Cyprus Investor Compensation Fund for clients under its CYSEC regulation. This ensures that clients are compensated up to a certain limit if the broker fails.

However, clients trading under the FSA in Seychelles do not have the same level of protection, as Seychelles regulations do not mandate a compensation scheme.

Spreads and Costs

TopFX offers spreads that are in line with market-leading brokers when comparing averages across asset classes. Forex and crypto spreads are competitive, while commodities and indices have slightly higher spreads. The broker charges both spreads and commissions on certain account types, making it essential to consider the all-in cost when trading.

Comparison to other Brokers

TopFX, with its CYSEC and FSA licenses, is a well-established broker offering competitive spreads and costs across various asset classes. Compared to industry leaders like IC Markets and Pepperstone, TopFX provides similar or slightly higher spreads on certain instruments.

While TopFX's regulatory status in Europe offers solid protection, its global clients under the FSA do not receive the same level of assurance. With its broad range of tradable instruments and high leverage options, TopFX is a strong contender for traders, though its user base and web traffic lag behind some of its larger competitors.

Trading Platforms - Mobile, Desktop, Automated

TopFX offers two popular trading platforms, MetaTrader 4 and cTrader. Both platforms are available on desktop, mobile, and web, allowing traders to access the market from any device. MetaTrader 4 is known for its user-friendly interface, powerful charting tools, and automated trading capabilities using the MQL4 programming language, which is relatively easy to learn for most traders.

cTrader offers advanced charting features and supports automated trading with the C# programming language, which can be more challenging but offers more robust customization for experienced traders.

What Can You Trade?

TopFX offers a wide range of tradable instruments, including over 55 forex pairs, 13 cryptocurrency pairs, and 599 stock CFDs. Clients can trade CFDs (Contracts for Difference), meaning they don't own the underlying asset but speculate on its price movements.

Available Leverage

TopFX offers leverage up to 1000:1 for clients under its FSA regulation, while clients in the EU under CYSEC are limited to 30:1 due to regulatory restrictions.

The available leverage varies depending on the asset class and regulatory jurisdiction, allowing traders to adjust their risk exposure accordingly.

Prohibited Countries

TopFX does not accept clients from certain jurisdictions, including the United States, Canada, and Iran. It's important to check directly with the broker for the most up-to-date list of prohibited countries.

TopFX Traffic sa web

Our web traffic data is sourced from SimilarWeb and sums the traffic data of all websites associated with a broker. Organic visits are visits the broker didn't pay for, based on the available data. This data updates once monthly and can be based on data purchased from internet service providers, traffic metrics sourced by a third party such as Google Analytics that the company chooses to share with SimilarWeb, etc.
