Rule Value Details
EA Usage Allowed EAs are permitted, but using the same EA/strategy across multiple accounts is prohibited. There's a server request limit of 2000 per day and a maximum position limit of 2000 per day. Using your own programmed EAs is recommended.
Overnight and Weekend Holding Allowed Holding simulated positions overnight and over the weekend is permitted on all accounts. Be aware of potentially unfavorable market conditions during rollovers or weekend gaps. Traders are responsible for managing risks.
Copy Trading Allowed (with restrictions) Copy trading is permitted to or from personal accounts or between E8 accounts owned by the same trader. Copying between multiple E8 Evaluation accounts or using the same trading ideas across them is prohibited. Each evaluation must be completed independently. The maximum capital allocation per user is $400,000.
Trading Strategies Some Allowed, Some Restricted Martingale is allowed. Scalping is not explicitly mentioned, but "tick scalping" is likely prohibited. Hedging across multiple accounts is strictly forbidden. Using no stop loss is allowed, but stop losses are highly recommended.
Inactivity Not Allowed (90-day rule) All accounts will be closed after 90 days of inactivity. Place at least one trade within a 90-day period to avoid deactivation.
News Trading Allowed (with restrictions) Permitted without restrictions during the evaluation phases. On funded accounts, a 10-minute prohibition period is enforced around high-impact news releases (5 minutes before and after). During this period, you cannot open or close trades, modify SL/TP, or place stop orders. Profits earned from prohibited actions during this period will be removed.

Misc. Rules Various Traders can manage up to $400,000 in E8 Trader accounts after evaluation. No limit on maximum risk per trade idea, but responsible risk management is expected. E8 Funding does not restrict trading styles as long as they are legitimate and could be replicated in live accounts. All available instruments can be traded.
