The second day of the talks between the US and China have ended.

According the China top trade negotiator Li:

  • China and US talks were candid and indepth, constructive discussions.
  • China/US teams continued to make use of trade consultation mechanism
  • Two sides realized importance of maintaining a healthy, stable relations
  • Had comprehensive, in-depth exchanges of macroeconomics. We reviewed implementation of Geneva consensus.
  • China and US have agreed to extend the trade truce
  • Both sides will continue to push forward extension of pause of reciprocal tariffs as well as Chinese countermeasures.
  • We will continue to maintain communication.
