Tradition Q1 Revenue Rises 12% on Gaitame.com and Interdealer Broking Business Strength
Compagnie Financière Tradition (CFT), an inter-dealer broker and operator of a Japanese retail forex trading platform Gaitame, reported an 11.8% increase in first-quarter revenue at constant exchange rates, reaching CHF 322.0 million (USD 354 million). This growth extends the company’s multi-year positive revenue trend.

CFT’s revenue, which includes the share of joint ventures, climbed 13.5% at current exchange rates compared to the same period last year. On a reported basis under IFRS, revenue rose 10.9% to CHF 294.7 million (USD 324 million), compared to CHF 265.6 million (USD 292.2 million) reported in the same period year earlier.
The group’s core interdealer broking business (IDB) saw its revenue rise by 10.1% at constant exchange rates to CHF 309.5 million (USD 340.5 million). Meanwhile, activity from retail investors (non-IDB) delivered the sharpest increase, with revenue up 77.6% at constant exchange rates to CHF 12.5 million (USD 13.8 million).

CFT attributed this surge to the integration of Money Partners Group into Gaitame.com, following its acquisition in December. This move further consolidates Gaitame.com’s presence in the Japanese online brokerage market.
Throughout 2024, the company also reported revenue growth, increasing by 7% in current currencies and over 10% in constant currencies, respectively.
